Sophia grew up in Athens, Georgia. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Furman University in 1992 and a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1994. Sophia has worked in the Athens area in outpatient orthopedics and spine therapy since 1994. Sophia opened Oconee Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation in 2004. The business was initially operated on Hog Mountain Road. In 2017, the practice was moved to its present location on Macon Highway. Sophia enjoys working with the wide variety of patients we treat at Oconee Physical Therapy. It is important to her that all patients feel as though they are part of the Oconee Physical Therapy family.
Sophia lives in Oconee County with her husband, David, and their 2 children, Catharine and Thomas. Catharine and Thomas grew up in Oconee County schools and graduated from Oconee County High School. Sophia enjoys working on projects, taking pictures of sporting events, working in the yard, and having a good time with her family.
